Circling the Drain is coded using XHTML 1.0. The site uses Cascading Style Sheets for all layout and formatting.
The stock Wordpress 1.5 templates were retooled by hand in BBEdit from Bare Bones Software. PHP is (or was) new to us at the time of this site’s inception, so bug reports are always welcome.
If something about Circling the Drain looks a little screwy (besides the author thumbnails) then you’re either not using a Mac, or it’s time for you to look into using another browser. (There’s also the odd chance that what you’re seeing is exactly as we’d intended it to be seen–there’s no accounting for tastes.)
Circling the Drain was designed on Macs running OS X.
All graphics were produced in Adobe Photoshop, with some supporting elements rendered by Adobe Illustrator, or Strata 3d.

Email addresses are never displayed on the site, and we don’t share (sell/rent/hint at) them with anyone. (Frankly, we can hardly be bothered to look at them ourselves.) User names and URLs associated with comments may be visible however.
We do not accept outside advertising. If it’s for sale then it’s something that we made, and is directly related to the content on the site. Posted comments that look like advertising will never be seen. Referrer spammers are swiftly blocked.
