Ah, this sort of thing would be very tedius if it weren't so frightening. I recently wrote about this sort of thing as well. We are inflicting more damage on ourself through the so-called War on Terror than the terrorists could ever hope to accomplish.

Rummy seems to missing a bibliobgraphy. Funny that he should choose a Chompski quote so closely linked to the U.S.'s "cover-your-ass" methodology in the reporting the invasion and occupation of Vietnam. Name and e-mails have been foo-barred.

i think you need to add a feature to send a message to the party responsible and stuff their email boxes full of comments about being censored...

oh and it's funny that violent military crap movies like "stealth" will fly (pun intended) through their censor radar without a probelm...violence and killing good! anthing that makes you think bad!!

I have noticed this, too, in just day-to-day experience, though I'd more likely refer to it as increasing self-involvement and/or the decline of the community (as individuals are more apt to think of themselves than the greater common good).

A bloated sense of entitlement has been of particular concern in the United States, as evidenced by our increasing litigiousness and our increasing intolerance for immigrants and even foreign visitors to our country. Note to my fellow Americans: the rest of the world is not our personal labor force, nor one big strip-mining or marketing opportunity.

The good news is that there are still a few folks around with enough forward thought and compassion to know that we just need to get over ourselves and start behaving more reasonably. :)

Oh, BIG FAT BULLHONKY! (Obviously, that yelling is not directed at the authors of the blog.) What we're moving toward is freedom from learning. It sounds as though the students in question are more interested in being further indoctrinated than in expanding their minds through exposure to new ideas. And the student whose complaint is quoted in the blog might consider taking a remedial writing course; if her academic arguments match the skill-level of her grammar, it's a wonder that her paper was graded as high as it was.
